Kancho Matsui's New Year Opening Address "Meichi Gannen"

IKO President Shokei Matsui gave a New Year's Opening Address to all worldwide members during the "Kagami-Biraki" (new year's first official training) at Hotel Metropolitan in Ikebukuro, Tokyo on January 11th, 2011. It was viewed on Live via USTREAM.

Keep our heads low, eyes high, mouths shut; base ourselves on filial piety and benefit others.

* Organizational Purpose (resolution):
Through the wisdom of Budo Karate, the Kyokushinkaikan strive to attain the goal of World Peace by developing all generations to contribute to society.

We, the Kyokushinkaikan, strive to contribute to society as a Budo organization, by developing good relations with our local community to achieve our mutual goals

We, the Kyokushinkaikan, strive to achieve our founder Sosai Masutatsu Oyama's ideal, to "make Kyokushin eternal" by developing projects that benefit society and transform our organization in order to move into the future.

IKO Europe Judge & Referee Seminar in Romania Feb. 2~6

During a period between February 2~6, IKO Europe Judge & Referee Seminar hosted by Shihan Dorel Bulearca and lectures by Shihan Katsuhito Gorai was held in Romania. Participants attended from Austria, Germany, Norway, Romania, Poland and Switzerland. IKO Romanian students including +50 boys and girls also took part in the special training sessions held in between judge seminars.
